Hey there girls,
it's Lory here and I want to share with you a mini tutorial to create a page like what I purpose you today:) I love playing with little pieces of papers and embellishments, and stamps you know, and it was a lot of time I wanted to create a page with the patchwork background. This technique is fantastic also to use many of your leftovers.
How did you do this? My idea was really simple! First of all I have searched a heart cut file that would be great for my idea, I choose the patchwork heart from Paige Evans :)

aquí Lory y quiero compartir con ustedes un mini tutorial para crear una página como la que les propongo hoy :) Me encanta jugar con pequeños trozos de papeles, adornos, y sellos. ¿Saben? hace mucho tiempo que quería crear una página con el fondo de mosaico. Esta técnica también es fantástica para usar muchas de tus sobras.
¿Como se hace esto? ¡Mi idea fue realmente simple! En primer lugar, he buscado un archivo de corte de corazón que sería genial para mi idea, elegí el corazón de patchwork de Paige Evans :)
Well do you know that there are the classic bazzill paper sheets? I ignored this..... arghhhh anyway Lol Lol I have used my silhouette cameo to cut out the heart background on a 8,5x11 inches paper.
To fill it I have mixed together pieces of many different papers, for this I have uses some 3x4 journaling cards, some of my "not favorite" journaling cards and in this way I have found the right use for them! I used the February and the March documenter kit from Studio Calico.

Para llenarlo, he mezclado partes de muchos papeles diferentes, para esto he usado algunas journaling cards 3x4, algunas de mis tarjetas que no son "mis favoritas" y de esta manera he encontrado el uso correcto para ellas. Usé el documenter kit de febrero y marzo de Studio Calico.
Cut different squares, mine were 4x4 cm from them get triangles and start placing them here and there creating a good colors and patterns combination. I have inserted not only papers but also embellishments as buttons, stamps.
Cortar diferentes cuadrados, los míos fueron de 4x4 cm, luego se cortan en forma de triángulos y se colocan aquí y allá creando una buena combinación de colores y patrones. He insertado no solo papeles con diseño, sino también adornos como botones y sellos.
My final page is a 9x12 so I have used a recycled paper sheet to draw the triangles and then I sticked together the sheet with the cut file and the recycled one.
Now the great part of the work is done, it's time to insert the photo, the journaling, the title and the patterned papers for the background to change the page from 8,5x11 to a 9x12 one.

I have just added my journaling in many different stripes of paper, some black ink drops and then some embellishments here and there. Sequins sewed to the page to give more light at it. The picture is really tiny and I have added a die cut to think about the baby world.

This is a picture of our boy about three years ago, hard time with the first baby, tears, tiredness, fear, a lot of many different and opposite feelings all together it was a very hard period but I am happy to have faced it and to be here now telling this story!

Esta es una foto de nuestro niño hace unos tres años, un momento difícil con el primer bebé, lágrimas, cansancio, miedo, muchos sentimientos diferentes y opuestos, todos juntos fue un período muy difícil, pero estoy feliz de haberlo afrontado y estar aquí ahora contando esta historia!
